Job description
As an Electrical Planner/Work Preparator (Werkvoorbereider E), you are the crucial link between engineering, operational planning, and on-site execution. You are responsible for the complete technical and organizational preparation of electrotechnical projects and modifications, with a heavy emphasis on Measurement & Control technology (M&R) and instrumentation.
You structure projects from the initial request phase up to final commissioning. Leveraging your expertise in instrumentation and control systems, you ensure that execution teams can operate efficiently, safely, and without unnecessary delays. Your base of operations will be a dynamic, high-tech industrial environment in the Elsloo region.
Your Responsibilities:
- Project Preparation: Full technical and administrative preparation for electrical, instrumentation, and control system projects;
- Material & Tooling: Selecting, ordering, and managing the required materials, specialist tools, and technical documentation;
- Planning & Coordination: Coordinating schedules between engineering teams, subcontractors, and on-site operation managers;
- Technical Analysis: Reviewing technical drawings, wiring schematics, and instrument data sheets to identify potential bottlenecks early;
- Safety & Standards: Ensuring all work packages comply with strict industrial safety protocols and VCA guidelines.
Job requirements
To successfully fulfill this role, you bring a rock-solid foundation of practical experience and highly specific technical expertise. We are looking for a proactive organizer who stands strong in their boots:
- Education: A completed MBO Level 4 degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering (Energietechniek), or Automation/Control Engineering (Besturingstechniek);
- Experience: A minimum of 5 to 10 years of demonstrable and relevant experience as a work preparator/planner within industrial electrical engineering;
- Expertise: Deep and demonstrable knowledge of and hands-on experience with Measurement & Control (M&R) technology and industrial instrumentation;
- Competencies: Strong communication skills, sharp analytical abilities, and a structured approach to your workload. You handle deadlines and pressure with ease;
- Safety & Language: Possession of a valid VCA-VOL certificate (or willingness to obtain it immediately). An excellent command of the Dutch language (both spoken and written) is required.
