As a Tank Construction Welder, you will independently produce pressure/vacuum tanks and components within a factory environment. You will assemble and weld liquid tanks using MIG/MAG techniques, primarily with stainless steel and carbon steel, based on technical drawings.
Job description
As a Tank Construction Welder, you are a craftsman responsible for the independent production of large pressure/vacuum tanks and related components in a workshop setting. You are in charge of the “structural build” of these tanks, working with precision and high-level craftsmanship.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- MIG/MAG Welding: Executing welding tasks using MIG/MAG techniques, primarily on stainless steel and carbon steel.
- Blueprint Reading: Carefully following technical drawings to ensure all components are welded together correctly.
- Assembly of Liquid Tanks: Responsible for the assembly of liquid tanks, ensuring a high-quality and durable construction.
- Independent Operation: Working independently while remaining responsible for the quality of your own output.
- Production Process: Working within a production line where finished tanks move from your station to the paint shop and subsequently to final assembly.
Job requirements
- Certifications: Welder 111 (SMAW) training; FW positions PA, PB, PC, PD, PE, PF; BW HL-045.
- Welding Expertise: Experience with MIG and MAG welding (minimum Level 3).
- Availability: 38 to 40 hours per week.
- Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Attitude: A strong interest in technology and a willingness to specialize in the company’s technical components.
