Job description
As an Industrial Electrician, you are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within various industrial settings. This includes:
- Installing electrotechnical systems: Working on the installation of complex industrial electrical systems, such as control panels, wiring, and distribution boards.
- Maintenance and fault analysis: Performing periodic maintenance and ensuring all systems continue to function optimally.
- Modifications and optimizations: Advising on and implementing improvements to existing systems to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Collaboration and safety: Working closely with colleagues and other disciplines to successfully complete projects.
Job requirements
- A minimum of an MBO diploma in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a similar technical field.
- VCA certificate is often required. NEN 3140 certification for working with electrical installations may also be requested.
- Experience in installing electrical systems (preferably within an industrial environment).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
- Physically capable of performing the work, which sometimes involves difficult conditions such as working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Ability to work independently as well as function well within a team.
- Willingness to work in shifts or to be available for malfunctions outside of regular working hours.
- In possession of a Category B driver's license.
